Normandy Prayer Tree

‘There is a very
special tree where you can come and pray,
And leave your prayers
on the branches, and on Him your burdens lay.
Your hopes, your fears,
your prayers for loved ones too,
We will take your prayers
and pray a prayer for you.’
This
was a prayer left on our prayer tree at the beginning of the Covid-19
Pandemic:
"Dear Jesus, be with our friends and family,
our fellow villagers, the UK and across the world during this
time of social isolation. Be closer than ever to us all. Amen."
The
Normandy Prayer Tree has been part of the vision for the church and
its interaction with the community.
We have planted a 60 year old Olive Tree in the grounds of the Church,
just off the Car Park Area.
Everyone is welcome to come and use the tree for prayer – for
themselves, family, friends or for particular needs.
There is card, pens and plastic wallets available next to the tree
in a little house to write your prayer requests on and then hang them
on the tree.
Emmanuel
Church will then collect the prayers and commit to praying for each
one for a month.
